i now have a 20GB 2.5" USB harddrive which we call all use for backup
of digital camera data. hopefully i will be ably to get another one
with 40GB soon, so we should have enough space to keep all data at least
twice for security reasons - both harddrives in different places... :)

hey guys,

i managed to get 2 imagetanks, 1x80GB and 1x40GB. These are basically  
2.5" harddrives with built-in cardreader for most memory cards and  
battery. We don't need to take laptop anymore, as we can copy  
directly from memory card to harddrive - twice for security reasons.

and yet another unimportant topic: i've got the GPS-logger ready, so  
hopefully we'll be able to record every second of the trip. later  
we'll be able to not only associate photos with places, but also view  
and fly again the routes we drove in (e.g.) google earth. just like
